ABOUT:

Lindsay (Tippett) Beansmith is a Kansas City based graphic designer with 10+ years in print design with studio, agency, and corporate experience. She's a maker, leader, collaborator and doer.

Lindsay currently exercises her love of research, innate understanding of color, and insight for emerging trends as a senior designer for Hallmark Cards, Inc. in the Trends Studio. She identifies emerging cultural trends (big, world-changing societal shifts) and creative trends (visual directions influenced by these shifts) then translates these insights into strategically relevant trend focused forecasts and trend artifacts. The Annual Creative Trend Forecast is a 180 page book that is utilized across the company to lead the creative future of Hallmark. Lindsay is also tasked with creating presentations, programs, workshops and seminars to share-out the trends to the entire creative organization of over 500 to insure understanding across all departments and product lines.

Other roles in the studio have included Content Manager and Creative Lead for the Hallmark brand Instagram account and editor for Hallmark's Creative Studios' blog: Think.Make.Share.

In addition to her design practice and career, Lindsay is an active member in the design community and served on the AIGA-KC leadership board for 6 years where she led teams in facilitating and executing design events around the community as well as working to advance design as a professional craft, strategic tool and vital cultural force. She also is a co-founder and organizer of the Made in the Middle Creative Conference in partnership with Carpenter Collective.

Lindsay has lived in the Midwest for 14 years after moving to Lawrence, Kansas to attend KU. She was born and raised in Tempe, Arizona and visits the desert regularly to bask in the sunshine and soak up those southwestern vibes. She currently resides in Briarcliff, a neighborhood of Kansas City, with her wife Cady, her son Tate, and two lil kitties. On the weekends, you can find Lindsay in the aisles of a home improvement store dreaming up house projects or on a patio sipping margaritas.
